INTRODUCTION:

INTRODUCTION The main intention of this project is to find the accident spot at any place and intimating it to ambulance through the GPS and GSM networks Global system for mobiles (GSM) technology is used to establish cellular connections. GPS is used to trace the position of the vehicle.

CIRCUIT COMPONENTS:

CIRCUIT COMPONENTS Power supply and vibration sensor. Microcontroller. Liquid crystal display. Key pad and DB9 connector. DPDT relay. GPS module. GSM module.

POWER SUPPLY AND VIBRATION SENSOR:

POWER SUPPLY AND VIBRATION SENSOR Power supply is a reference to a source of electrical power. Linear Mode Power Supplying is used in this system. VIBRATION SENSOR The circuit is constructed with Piezoelectric plate. Operational amplifier. 555 IC Timer.

MICROCONTROLLER:

MICROCONTROLLER 32 Programmable I\O devices. Three 16 bit Timer/counter. Eight interrupt sources.

KEY PAD and DB9 CONNECTOR:

KEY PAD and DB9 CONNECTOR A keypad is used to enter the number to which the message of accident and the location of the vehicle are to be sent. The DB9 connector is an analog 9-pin plug of the D-Subminiature connector family. Used for serial connections.

LCD:

LCD Here the LCD is used to display the status and position of the vehicle. The number to which the position of the vehicle is to be delivered, also displays on the LCD such that changes can be made if necessary.

DPDT RELAY:

DPDT RELAY The ‘DP’ means that it is double pole, so it switches both side of the circuit The ‘DT’ means that rather than just turning on and off, it switches from one set of wires to another.

GPS MODULE:

GPS MODULE GPS SYSTEM 27 Satellites Orbit the Earth twice a day Equipped with an atomic clock. The GPS module ProGin SR-87 is used.

GSM MODULE:

GSM MODULE The GSM network is use to provide communication from one place to another. The commands that are using to provide communication are AT commands. The AT command specifies the GSM technology that are related to SMS service.

TRACKING:

TRACKING OPERATION:

TRACKING OPERATION When an accident occurs, the piezoelectric plate gives electrical signal to MC. MC switches GSM and GPS network by using DPDT switch. GPS receiver takes latitude and longitude through antenna . GSM transmitter sends this information to control system.

IMPLEMENTATION:

IMPLEMENTATION The proposed system can be implemented by interconnecting the system to the automobile.

ADVANTAGES AND DIS ADVANTAGES:

ADVANTAGES AND DIS ADVANTAGES Advantages Low cost solution for automobile position and status. Very useful in case of car theft situation. The immediate medication will be provided to the accident victims in remote areas. Disadvantages The biggest problem is the blockage of signal transmission by mountains, high building, tunnels .

FUTURE ENHANCEMENT:

FUTURE ENHANCEMENT This can be developed by interconnecting a camera to the controller Module that takes the photograph of the accident spot that makes the tracking easier.

CONCLUSION:

CONCLUSION To minimize the death and the severe conditions due to accidents the GPS and GSM technologies are used where the immediate action would be take place by the ambulance\ police which might reduces the severity.
