Slide 2:
INTRODUCTION: Solar power is the generation of electricity from sunlight. This can be direct as with photovoltaics (PV), or indirect as with concentrating solar power (CSP)
Solar energy is the form of electromagnetic radiation emitted from the sun ,but especially that the part of their energy that is converted into THERMAL or ELECTRICAL energy on earth
Slide 3:
PHOTOVOLTAICS: Photovoltaics (PVs) are arrays of cells containing a solar photovoltaic material that converts solar radiation into direct current electricity. Materials presently used for photovoltaics include monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon, amorphous silicon, cadmium telluride, and copper indium selenide/sulfide.

CONCENTRATING
SOLAR POWER
PLANT Concentrated solar power (CSP) systems use lenses or mirrors to focus a large area of sunlight onto a small area. Electrical power is produced when the concentrated light is directed onto photovoltaic surfaces or used to heat a transfer fluid for a conventional power plant.

HOW MUCH
SOLAR ENERGY? The surface receives about 47% of the total solar energy that reaches the Earth. Only this amount is usable.
