OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:

OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT To reduce the voltage variations such as voltage sags caused by big motors start in industries, by using two switches.

ABSTRACT:

ABSTRACT Proposes a PWM controlled three-phase voltage regulator which uses only two driven switches. This is suitable for voltage regulation. The control can be accomplished with a low-cost micro controller.

INTRODUCTION:

INTRODUCTION Power quality problems faced by industrial operations are mainly due to voltage sag. Two transformers are shunt and series connected. The microcontroller used here is ATMEGA 8L and the software used here is AVR STUDIO which uses the embedded C language .

BLOCK DIAGRAM EXPLANATION 3 phase supply is given as input. Two transformers are rated as 1:1 and 5:1 Potential transformer used to give (0-5)v Two switches are controlled by microcontroller Rectifier used for conversion process.

EXPLANATION OF POWER SUPPLY UNIT OF MICROCONTROLLER:

EXPLANATION OF POWER SUPPLY UNIT OF MICROCONTROLLER Single phase input is given to step down transformer(220/12V). 12V dc input is given to diode rectifier. By using the voltage regulator, the voltage brought here is 5V. This voltage is given to microcontroller as input.

CONCLUSION:

CONCLUSION Thus our project gives the following advantages than available configurations. ( i ) high reliability due to the reduced number of switches which also provides a compact power stage, (ii) simple control based on dc signals. The proposed topology can be used to regulate the voltage in steady state, reject flicker and variations, specially in industrial facilities where the start of a big motor can cause a decrease of more than 15% in the feeders.

FUTURE IMPLEMENTATION:

FUTURE IMPLEMENTATION In future our project can be implemented in the TRANSMISSION LINES for all the load to reject voltage sag and to attain the steady state voltage .
