Welcome to the Four Steps of Podcasting What is a podcast? Why do we care? Welcome to our first classroom podcast on podcasting. My name is Mrs. Gummere , and I’m going to share the joys of podcasting with you today. What is a podcast? A podcast is a series of themed audio, multimedia, or video shows that people can play on demand and subscribe to. Why do we care? We’re going to make them so we can share our leaning with the world. We’re going to learn the four steps of podcasting today.

Learning the Four Steps:

Learning the Four Steps Planning Recording Producing Publishing The first step in podcasting is planning. After all, you can’t do anything very well without a plan. So we have to figure out our theme and purpose, how to do it, how to organize ideas, and how to set it all up. Once that’s done, we can record our podcast using free software on our classroom computer. When we’ve recorded it, we can produce it, which is a fancy way of saying we’ll edit our work, making any adjustments we need to make. Finally, we’ll publish our work to the web so others can see it. Easy, huh?

Conclusion Podcasting is a fun way to share our knowledge. Join me to plan a podcast today.
