Introduction : Introduction This instructional PowerPoint assumes that a PowerPoint has already been created with instructional content that will be viewed by students. Adding Narration to a PowerPoint : Adding Narration to a PowerPoint In the slide show ribbon click on record narration Adding Narration to a PowerPoint : Adding Narration to a PowerPoint Click ok Adding Narration to a PowerPoint : Adding Narration to a PowerPoint A dialog box appears that give you the option to start the audio on the current slide or start the recording on the first slide. The current slide option will allow the student to click an icon to begin narration for each slide. The first slide option will play the narration starting from the first slide and continue to play regardless of the slide currently presented. Recording Complete : Recording Complete After recording the instruction for the current slide an icon will appear in the lower right corner of the slide. During presentation the student will be able to click on the icon to listen to the instruction. If the current slide option was selected on the previous dialog box, the student will have to click the icon on each slide where audio has been recorded. Deliver the Instruction Online : Deliver the Instruction Online Four ways will be presented showing how to post a PowerPoint with narration to the web. Convert to Adobe Flash Format. Convert to HTML format. Convert to JPEG format with a separate audio file that is streamed or downloaded in an MP3 file format. Make a movie.
