Objectives : 

Objectives SWBA to incorporate audio into a PowerPoint presentation SWBA to host the PowerPoint on a webpage or post the content to an LMS in several different formats which include: Adobe Flash, jpeg files (pictures), html and downloadable mp3 and PowerPoint files.

Introduction : 

Introduction This instructional PowerPoint assumes that a PowerPoint has already been created with instructional content that will be viewed by students.

Adding Narration to a PowerPoint A dialog box appears that give you the option to start the audio on the current slide or start the recording on the first slide. The current slide option will allow the student to click an icon to begin narration for each slide. The first slide option will play the narration starting from the first slide and continue to play regardless of the slide currently presented.

Recording Complete : 

Recording Complete After recording the instruction for the current slide an icon will appear in the lower right corner of the slide. During presentation the student will be able to click on the icon to listen to the instruction. If the current slide option was selected on the previous dialog box, the student will have to click the icon on each slide where audio has been recorded.

Deliver the Instruction Online Four ways will be presented showing how to post a PowerPoint with narration to the web. Convert to Adobe Flash Format. Convert to HTML format. Convert to JPEG format with a separate audio file that is streamed or downloaded in an MP3 file format. Make a movie. (Only recommended if storage available online)

When sending a PowerPoint using email the creator looses control over your presentation as it get replicated on every user's desktop that it is sent to. This does not happen when you share through the web using the flash format as you have full control over the presentation.

Podbean : 

Podbean Podbean is a free online hosting site that allows instructors to upload audio (mp3) files and then embed the audio within a web page. This is beneficial because the students don’t have to download any files. Click here for an example
