Nervous System http://mywellnesseducator.com :

Nervous System http://mywellnesseducator.com B Vitamins and the Nervous System B12, cobalamin, helps in the formation of nerve cells B9, folate or folic acid, is involved in the production of neurotransmitters B5 contributes to the production of neurotransmitters, which are important to nerve communication. B1, thiamin, supports the development of the fat-like coverings which surround most nerves, called myelin sheath B1 is involved in the production of the nerve messaging molecule acetylcholine. B-vitamins are essential for the Nervous System

Nervous System :

Nervous System B Vitamins and Other Body Functions Promotes normal red blood cell formation Deficiencies in Folic Acid, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B6 or Biotin may result in feelings of fatigue Helps decrease stress and improve mood Helps maintain healthy levels of serotonin Involved in the metabolism of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates Meets need for B-vitamin in vegetarian diet Necessary for proper functioning of the nervous system and bone marrow (B-vitamin deficiencies appear in these tissues first) Promotes cardiovascular health Promotes healthy levels of homocysteine* and supports normal endothelial function Promotes normal cognitive performance Vitamin B12 and Folic Acid facilitates steps required for cell division Vitamin B5 is involved in the Krebs cycle of energy production and is needed to make the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. B5 is also essential in producing, transporting, and releasing energy from fats Vitamin B6 is essential for amino acid metabolism Vitamin B1, B2, B3 and Biotin increases energy and participates in different aspects of energy production B-vitamins are essential key functions in the body *High levels of homocysteine in the body appears to be a nerve and vessel toxin which causes mortality, CVD, stroke, Alzheimer's Disease, birth defects, recurrent pregnancy loss, and eye disorders. Vitamin B12 reduces the harmful homocysteine levels by converting homocysteines into methionine which is an essential amino acid used by the body.

Nervous System :

Nervous System Calcium Enhances the effectiveness of electrical impulses passing through the neurons Potassium Regulates nerve impulses Regulates the heart beat Magnesium Recharges positive electrons with calcium Relieves nervous irritability and excessive energy B1 is involved in the production of the nerve messaging molecule acetylcholine. Vitamin D Crucial for calcium absorption in the intestines. Induces the production of nerve growth factor by injured neurons in particular regions of the brain possessing VDR, vitamin D receptors (cortex, hippocampus, basal forebrain), preventing loss of the injured neurons Other Necessary Supplements for the Nervous System
