FINANCIAL AID

Slide 18:

As a result, this unit has been functioning in a modest farmhouse; set-up on land gifted by a philanthropist in 2001 and is financed by donations, fundraisers and a nominal contribution from families of the patients to cover the cost of their meals.

Slide 19:

The Govt. of India gives financial aid in part to support these activities except for the Rehabilitation centre as it does not come within the ambit of its programme for the relief of such individuals

Slide 20:

The accounts are audited by a firm of Chartered Accountants and are filed with The State Govt. and the Income Tax Authorities. A governing body of voluntary and experienced persons oversees the functioning of the Organisation with the assistance of Mrs. Clema Pinto - the Co-founder of Seva Dhan Foundation.

Slide 21:

Seva Dhan Foundation is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Reg. No.Bom/486/82G BBSD) and Bombay Public Trusts Act (Reg.No.F7741 Mumbai). It is exempted from Income Tax under Section 80G and is registered under FCRA to receive foreign contributions.
