Non-verbal communication, assertiveness, creative thinking and problem-solving, leadership, work, taking responsibility, teamwork and relation- ships, confidence, and attitude are several examples of the skills utilized and developed by EFL.

Horses Helping Heroes:

Horses Helping Heroes EFL for Veterans and their families to help them transition home after they have done and sacrificed to keep our citizens safe. Ananda farm is a place of safe healing for soldiers and their family members. Coming home after being on a tour of duty can be a difficult transition. Civilian workplace is very different from the service. Spending time with our horses and building memories based on these experiences will start the transition home off right.

Why EFL:

Why EFL Experiential Learning has more permanent results and quicker effect Clients and Instructors are interacting with each other and horses The focus is “in the moment”, doing the activity Result is that instructor will quickly see the problems the clients are facing by their reactions to activities and strategies used

EFL lets the Real Client shine through:

EFL lets the Real Client shine through The instructor can set goals and plan activities quickly from observing horses and clients interactions EFL helps to immediately see how couples, teams, and individuals act and react to different situations. Horses are reflective so client can not “fake it” with them

EFL is Engaging:

EFL is Engaging Active and effective, the process is more engaging for both instructors and their clients Does not have awkward feeling of two chairs in an office to talk about what is going on, EFL is active When a horse enters the equation, everyone is instantly attentive and engaged in the process.

Helps get past “Sticking Points”:

Helps get past “Sticking Points” Anyone can hit a wall in therapy where the client remains stuck in old patterns and attitudes.
