Seaweed # 1: 

Seaweed # 1 * My poppers are full of air. * These air bladders help me to float near the water’s surface at high tide. * If you snap my poppers, they will squirt water. * I provide a hiding place,but not food, for marine creatures. What type am I?

Seaweed # 2: 

Seaweed # 2 * I am eaten by snails and crabs . * I can be eaten by humans. What type am I?

Seaweed # 3 I am used to help thicken pudding, ice cream and toothpaste What type am I?

Seaweed # 4: 

Seaweed # 4 * I am the largest seaweed found in CT. * I can be up to 50 feet long in CT and up to 200 feet long in the Pacific Ocean. * My texture is leathery. * I am a food source for marine creatures. * I am a brown algae. What type am I?

Plant # 1: 

Plant # 1 * I am a plant with actual roots. * I grow in the sand. * I have grass-like leaves. * Seahorses like to lice in me. What type am I?

Creature #1: 

Creature #1 * Most local crabs walk but I can swim. * My back “legs” are really swimmerets. * I am named after a color. What creature am I?

Creature # 2: 

Creature # 2 Purple dots on the ends of my rays are actually eyes. If I lose a ray, it will grow back during the next year. Suction cups on the bottoms of my tube feet help pull me over the ground. I send my stomach out to digest prey. What is my new name?

Creature # 3: 

Creature # 3 We are the egg cases for Connecticut’s largest snail. Some people say they can hear the ocean when I am held up to their ear. What type of snail am I?

Creature # 4: 

Creature # 4 * I am NOT a crab. * I am related to spiders and ticks. * I have not teeth and will not bite. * If you put your finger in my mouth, it will feel like I am pinching you. My tail is used for protection and to flip myself over. What creature am I?
