Presentation Description

A lot of things are going on under the hood of a car. The main purpose of the vehicle’s engine is to convert gasoline into energy. For that, the engine must be kept lubricated and clean. Engine oil does lubrication and it is the oil filter that plays a key role in keeping the engine clean. When the oil filter becomes dirty, it allows contaminants to sail direct to the vehicle’s engine and thereby affecting the overall fuel economy. Thus, the oil filter needs to be replaced. And it would be better, if we replace the oil filter every time we carry out an oil change.

Slide1:

IS CHANGING THE OIL FILTER OF A CAR NECESSARY?

Slide2:

Motor oil keeps the components of the engine properly lubricated and thus minimizes friction.

Slide3:

Besides, circulation of motor oil also prevents engine overheating and thus keeps the engine in working order.

Slide4:

However, accumulation of dirt and other kinds of contaminants could minimize the lubrication ability of the motor oil.

Slide5:

Oil filter keeps the motor oil clean by removing the dust particles, micro metallic contaminants and other kinds of deposits.

Slide6:

However, clogged and damaged oil filters fail to do so as a result of which the engine might fail to work.

Slide7:

So, the condition of the oil filter should be inspected after a certain time interval and if necessary should be replaced.

Slide8:

BENEFITS OF OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT

Slide9:

Accumulation of dust particles, moisture and other kinds of contaminants could damage the engine. KEEPS THE ENGINE CLEAN

Slide10:

Besides, sludge build up also blocks the pathways of motor oil circulation.

Slide11:

Oil filters remove the deposited contaminants and thus keeps the engine clean.

Slide12:

Clean engine works more efficiently without any major problems.

Slide13:

A dirty engine consumes more fuel as compared to a clean engine. BETTER FUEL ECONOMY

Slide14:

Contamination and sludge build up could increase the friction among different components of the engine.

Slide15:

Higher friction means more fuel consumption.

Slide16:

Clogged or deformed oil filters could not keep the engine clean which could adversely affect the fuel economy of a car.

Slide17:

Motor oil acts as the lifeblood of an engine. LONGER ENGINE LIFE

Slide18:

However, deposits and different types of contaminants act as poison and kill the engine from inside.

Slide19:

Oil filters increase the lifespan of an engine by detoxifying the motor oil.

Slide20:

A clean engine runs more efficiently. EFFICIENT ENGINE

Slide21:

Oil filters enhance the efficiency of an engine by keeping the motor oil clean.

Slide22:

Clean motor oil could properly lubricate the components of the engine and thus minimizes friction and maximizes engine efficiency.

Slide23:

FINALLY

Slide24:

Oil filters should be replaced more frequently, after an interval of about 3000 miles.

Slide25:

Using an oil filter for a longer time might cause irreparable damage to the engine.

Slide26:

So, the condition of the oil filter should be inspected regularly and if necessary should be replaced immediately.
