What is Multimedia? : 

What is Multimedia? Multimedia is the integration and presentation of images, text, and/or sound by mean as of computer technology.

Cave Paintings : 

Cave Paintings 15,000 B.C . Cave paintings was the first form of multimedia founded in Europe, Africa, and Australia.

Chinese Moveable Type : 

Chinese Moveable Type A.D 1041 The Chinese were using block printing around A.D. 500, and printing whole books by 868. In 1041 Pi Sheng created the first moveable type made from based clay glued to an iron plate.

Comment: Impact of printing : 

Comment: Impact of printing 1460 The invention of movable type printing is generally consider a historical turning point because it quickly made printing much cheaper. The process of block printing and hand transcribing of texts and illustrations were very time consuming and therefore expensive.

World Wide Web (WWW) Launched 1991 Tim Berners-Lee launched the World Wide Web, which used the “Internet” to network HTLM and HTTP code to easily circulate “page” of information and hyper links to connect them internet had been in existence in various forms for several decades to readily connect computers.

Mosaic: First Web Browsers : 

Mosaic: First Web Browsers Mosaic became the killer application of the World Wide Web and led to it widespread use within a little over a year. Mosaic provided a multimedia (images, sound, text) simple editor for creating pages fir the WWW. Mosaic became Netscape Navigator which was the dominant browser until Internet Explorer took over.

Internet: Social Networking take- off Myspace Myspace explosive growth as millions of predominantly young people join, creating a major phenomenon, such that News Limited purchases Myspace for approximately $400 million which initially seemed a remarkably high price, but soon was recognized to be bargain.
