CIRCLE:

CIRCLE A circle is the set of points that are equidistant from a special point in the plane called the center.

CHORD:

CHORD A chord of a circle is a line segment that connects one point on the edge of the circle with another point on the circle .

DIAMETER:

DIAMETER The diameter of a circle is a chord that passes through the center of the circle. It is the longest distance across a circle.

RADIUS The radius of a circle is a line segment that goes from the center of the circle to the outside edge. 2r = d

ARC An arc of a circle is a segment of the circumference of the circle.

CENTRAL ANGLE:

CENTRAL ANGLE An angle with it’s vertex at the center that cuts an arc on the circle.

INSCRIBED ANGLE:

INSCRIBED ANGLE An angle with it’s vertex ON the center that cuts an arc on the circle. It touches the circle in 3 places.
