http://www.grouptable.com/: Since some of the disabilities that students have are physical and thus prevent students from attending group meetings easily, Group Table is a place where students can post and share their group projects, files, and documents with one another. http://learningdisabilities.about.com/od/resourcesresearch/tp/homeworkhelps.htm: This site has ten tips to help students that are learning disabled. These ten tips are linked to websites that help teachers and parents with learning disabled students. http://learningdisabilities.about.com/od/resourcesresearch/tp/choosetechnol.htm: This site has four tips for choosing the right assistive and adaptive technology for disabled students. This can be helpful for a teacher who wants to include students with physical disabilities into certain activities that may require assistive and adaptive technology. http://learningdisabilities.about.com/od/assessmentandtesting/Assessment_and_Testing_for_Learning_Disabilities_and_Special_Education.htm: This website is very useful for teachers who are curios and want to learn about methodologies and tips for assessing students who are learning, physically, emotionally, or mentally disabled. The website has links to other websites that are particularly helpful.

Specifically, in terms of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. This is helpful so that student, teachers of disabled students, and parents can work together to help the disabled student. http://learningdisabilities.about.com/od/instructionalmaterials/Resources_for_Teachers_and_Parents_of_SLD_Children.htm: This site links viewers to a wealth of information concerning resources for the disabled student. This is especially helpful for teachers who have no experience working with students with any type of disabilities. http://www.ncld.org/: The National Center for Learning Disabilities website has a wealth of knowledge dedicated topics and resources for the learning disabled student. This is helpful for the teacher without any special education experience.

http://www.howtosaythatname.com/: This is a great tool to build a good rapport with students. This websites has pronunciation guides for teachers concerning the different student names. When a teacher appears to care enough about a student’s name, other ESL endeavors will be well received and appreciated. http://www.frengly.com/: For teachers who have students who speak different languages, Frengly is a online translator where teachers can learn a few simple phrases to connect with ESL students. http://www.spellingcity.com/: This is a cool interactive game and educational tool that can be useful for ESL students, especially in a science class, where terms are often difficult to pronounce, spell, and remember. This tool asks students to log in their spelling words and the tool asks students whether they would like to play a game, be tested, or taught about the words. http://graffiticreator.net/: Since ESL students are more easily hands-on learners, Graffiti Creator offers students a web application in which they can create their own graffiti. Teachers could use this site a means of vocabulary building and learning.

http://artpad.art.com/artpad/painter/: Art Pad is a web application that ESL students can use in order to create art concerning their specific area of study. For example, students can make art for poster boards or slide show presentations. http://www.teachersnetwork.org/ntol/howto/eslclass/science.htm: Teacher’s Network provides an article about “How to Adjust Your Teaching Styles for English Language Learners in ESL/Bilingual Classrooms.” http://www.everythingesl.net/lessons/egg_experiments.php?ty=print: This link has an excellent article about using four egg experiments to get ESL students in to using the scientific method, especially if they are not use to the English language. http://www.newyorkscienceteacher.com/sci/esl/index.php: This site has links to a great deal of resources related to ESL students that teachers can use specifically for science subjects. Tools of particular points of interest are activities and lesson plans.

http://brj.asu.edu/content/vol26_no2/pdf/ART2.PDF: This site has an article that explains how ESL students can better their scores in science through inquiry-based science instruction. http://www.rubristat.4teachers.org: Rubistar is a website created by the United States Department of Education, that is dedicated to the creation of rubrics. This website provides a list of rubric templates that teachers can choose from and in a web application interface, teachers can choose their criterion, as well as edit their rubrics. http://www.teachervision.fen.com/: Teacher Vision is a website that requires a membership and payment. However, the money is worth the wealth of tools that the site has to offer. The site offers lesson plans, printable worksheets, and information on classroom management. Lesson plans and printables are organized according to grade and subjects. http://www.4teachers.org/: 4 Teachers is the parent website of Rubistar and this site is geared towards teaching and technology. This is by far on of the most useful sites that we have come across in terms of teaching and assessment.

http://animoto.com/: This website is dedicated to the creation of quick and not to mention great-looking videos. Students can upload existing videos and use this web application to add effects to their videos, which will be helpful when teachers require their students to create public service announcement, news casts, or short video clips. http://www.buildasearch.com/: Build-a-Search is a search engine creator. The benefits of creating your own small search engine are that results are more specific to what a specific user wants. Teachers can place their search engines on to their personal websites or blogs so that students may utilize it as well. http://www.webon.com: Web On is a web site creation tool that has attractive layouts and is fairly easy to use and navigate. This can be helpful for teachers who want to keep parents and students updated about their classes. http://www.weebly.com: Like Web On, Weebly is a real easy to use web site creation tool that can be helpful for a teacher who wishes to keep his or her students updated in terms of their class. The layouts are not as attractive as Web On, but it has more functions that Web On. http://www.blogger.com/home: By far the most interactive tool that a teacher can use to keep his or her class updated, informed, and engaged is a blog. Blogger, which is a Google blog, is really easy to use and offers users a place to put slide presentations, audio, video, pictures, and text.

http://www.videojug.com: This tool is much like You Tube, in that it is a video data base. However, Video Jug is dedicated to how-to videos that range from how to do certain exercise to how to try some one down. The helpful part, especially for the technological are the technological how to videos. http://www.slideshare.com: Slide Share is a way for teachers, as well as students to share their Power Point presentations online. For teachers, this is a real useful tool when students are absent, because they teachers can post their presentations to their blogs or websites, where students can catch up on the missed lessons or take notes. http://google.com: Google has a wealth of resources for teachers to use which include Google Documents where users can post their Power Point, Excel, and Word documents and store them or publish these documents for others to see. Google also has it own e-mail domain known as Gmail, which has its own chat function for easy messaging. http://www.thisonenext.com/search: This One Next is an Interesting tool that can be useful for both students and educators. Simply type in the name of a book that you are currently reading and then this website will generate a list of books you should read next. This can be useful for making connections between texts.

http://www.evri.com/: Evri is a search engine that is geared specifically towards student research endeavors. For instance, students can type in a topic and Evri will help generate a concept map that can help students narrow down their research or help developing a research outline. This can be especially helpful for ESL or learning disabled students. http://zunavision.stanford.edu/: Zuna Vision was a tool developed by Stanford University that allows users to place images in an already existing video. This can be useful for students who are creating movie clips for a class. http://vocaroo.com/: Vocaroo is an online tool that allows users to publish, post, and edit audio recordings. All users need is a microphone to hook up to their computer. This is useful for blog postings that students may need to post. http://comiqs.com/: Comiqs is a tool that allows users to create, edit, and publish self-made comics. This can be useful for creating comic books concerning science, in this case. Plus, it is free. http://www.woopid.com/: Woopid is a tutorial tool that allows users to view tutorials about Microsoft and Macintosh processes. This is great for teachers and students who want to use more technology, but are unfamiliar with technology.

http://www.testtoob.com/: Test Toob is dedicated to sharing the science experiments of teachers and students. This site also has a parent section where parents can do experiments with their kids, which can be helpful if parents do not know how to conduct certain experiments that students must conduct at home. http://www.cozi.com/: Cozi is a tool that allows users to create their own schedules, calendars, and shopping lists to share with the whole family and/ or with friends or even group mates. Parents can use this to stay in tune with what their child is doing in school and be aware of any supplies that need to be bought for students or know when parent participation is need or when their child will be attending field trips. http://www.stellarsurvey.com/: Stellar Survey allows users create, publish, and share surveys online. This can be useful for getting parental input within a classroom about teaching methodologies, content material, field trips, and other areas of classroom management. http://freetech4teachers.blogspot.com/: This is a blog that gives teachers free technological tools for use in the classroom.

http://Del.icio.us: This is a great tool to keep parents informed about places to go for resources. Delicious is a social bookmarking site that allows users to book mark their favorite sites and organize them into meaningful categories. If the bookmark is saved as a public bookmark, it is viewable by others. You can also add other peoples’ bookmarks. http://greatergood.berkeley.edu/tools.html: This site is dedicated to helping parents with their kids in terms of motivation and making the most out of educational experiences and family time. http://www.science.gov/browse/w_133A.htm: Science.gov is a site dedicated to education in terms of science and it has sections for teacher and students and this case, specifically for parents. http://www.infohio.org/Parent/Tools.html: This webpage has a wealth of links dedicated to homework helping tips that can be useful for parents who want to help their students, but may not know how.
