Definition : 

Definition Personality is the the behavioral traits and characteristic of a person and the way they act.

Different Types of Personality : 

Different Types of Personality There has said to be five basic personal traits. These traits are known as, “The Big Five.” Research and evidence to prove the big five theory was started by D. W. Fiske in 1949. The five personality traits are extraversion, agreeableness (accommodation), conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness.

Types of Personality Traits (cont.) Extraversion: This is a person who is social, talkative, and excited. These people are usually the life of the party. Agreeableness (accommodation): These are your trustworthy people, they are kind and affectionate, a person with this type of personality cooperates well with others.

Types of Personality Traits (cont.) Conscientiousness: If you have this type of personality then you are very thoughtful and you have good impulse control. You are always focused and prepared. Neuroticism: This personality trait means you have anxiety, you can be moody, and irritable. You feel anger and depression quicker than a person with one of the other four personality traits.

Personality in Childhood : 

Personality in Childhood Personality affects the way students go about their education. The Journal of Research in Personality did a study with 3,992 9th grade students to see how personality affects the way the students select their subjects. The studies show that students who chose advanced math classes, chemistry, and physics were conscientious

Personality in Childhood (cont.) Students who chose less science oriented classes were more extraverted. This shows that students personalities does affect the way they learn and the type of education they get.

Personality in Adulthood : 

Personality in Adulthood Personality in adulthood affects can affect the type of career you have. Your job however does not affect the type of personality an adult has. In a recent report made by the Journal of Personality that adults who was extraverted, conscientious, and emotionally stable had jobs with more decision making. As where adults with disagreeable and neuroticism personalities had more physical and dangerous jobs.
