2012 END OF THE WORLD :

2012 END OF THE WORLD WELCOME

INTRODUCTION:

INTRODUCTION The 2012 phenomenon comprises a range of eschatological beliefs that cataclysmic or transformative events will occur on December 21, 2012.[1][2][3] This date is regarded as the end-date of a 5,125-year-long cycle in the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar. Various astronomical alignments and numerological formulae related to this date have been proposed. A New Age interpretation of this transition postulates that during this time, Earth and its inhabitants may undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation, and that 2012 may mark the beginning of a new era.[4] Others suggest that the 2012 date marks the end of the world or a similar catastrophe. Scenarios suggested for the end of the world include the arrival of the next solar maximum, or Earth's collision with a black hole or a passing planet called "Nibiru".

OPINION OF SCHOLARS:

OPINION OF SCHOLARS Scholars from various disciplines have dismissed the idea of catastrophe in 2012. Mainstream Mayanist scholars state that predictions of impending doom are not found in any of the existing classic Maya accounts, and that the idea that the Long Count calendar "ends" in 2012 misrepresents Maya history.[3][5] The modern Maya do not consider the date significant, and the classical sources on the subject are scarce and contradictory.[6] Astronomers and other scientists have rejected the apocalyptic forecasts as pseudoscience, stating that the anticipated events are contradicted by simple astronomical observations.[7]From the position of planetary movements and astrological calculations... the significance of number three for present civilization is immense. The 12th year of 21st century totals number three. Talking of 2012 means... we have already stepped into the 21st century which numerically totals three. The 12th year also totals to three. A significant upheaval on the whole shall be the order of the day.

Slide 7:

These 2012 predictions are based on a comet or possibly a group of comets hitting earth. These predictions were pulled directly from the Bible Codes. We believe that a lot of the 2012 predictions were created to discredit revelations in the Bible. Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible (also known as the Torah). These five books are believed to contain secret codes put there by God himself. The odds are 10 million to 1 that the Bible Codes do not actually exist. We also feel Wormwood (as referred to in the Bible) is the comet.

From what we understand, NASA is either tracking 90% of all NEOs or will be soon. The Near Earth Object Program is the website where NASA lists comets and asteroids that are being tracked. Apparently, it is impossible for NASA or anyone else to find all of the asteroids and comets in our universe. But, we are encouraged that they continue to search for them.

CONCLUSION:

CONCLUSION i think that this is all made up. the earth isn’t going to end. they also said that the world was supposed to end on 6/6/06 but that never happened! and i just think that it is just a hoax. it is not real and if you actually believe this crap, then you must be out of your mind. tell anyone that the world is going to end on December 21, 2012, and that won’t believe you. that right there just proves that it is fake. if no one believes it, then i don’t believe it. that’s how it works. and if the world was going to end, then how come no one has talked about it on the news?? that is a good point. so now what is there left to say?? my life isn’t even half way over. or so i hope. but i don’t want my life to end in 2012! I’ll only be 16!! it just doesn’t go good in my agenda!! i don’t need to die! i want a family!! if you agree with me then you are smart.
