The Church is One:

The Church is One Like a human body we have a variety of parts but each part works to serve the whole and we function as a unit. Although we have a variety of different organs with different functions, we function as a unit. Every part of us looks out to serve the other part. The Church should be the same.

QUESTION: How Do You Define Holiness? What Does it Mean for You to Be Holy? It’s OK not to fit in all the time “Follow the narrow way; the road is wide that leads to destruction.” Following the path that God has for your life Allowing God to form your conscience

The Church is Catholic :

The Church is Catholic Catholic = Universal The truth about man’s existence and the revealed salvation accomplished by Jesus are for the entire human race. The church and salvation thru Jesus Christ is meant for the entire human race.

The Church is Apostolic:

The Church is Apostolic Jesus appointed 12 Apostles; Jesus selected Peter as the head Apostle (what we now called Pope). Throughout history the Church has followed this model with a continuation of Popes (successor to Peter) and Bishops (successor to the Apostles). The Catholic Church is built upon all that Jesus taught ; either written down ( Bible ) or passed down orally ( Tradition ) and is protected from error by the Holy Spirit.

Question From Class:

Question From Class Why don’t other Christian Churches have Confirmation?

The Catholic Church has a Magisterium:

The Catholic Church has a Magisterium Magisterium = The teaching authority of the Church. Jesus promised that the Church would be guided by the Holy Spirit and never fall into error. The Magisterium: Pope + Bishops The Magisterium decides what is true Catholic belief; we do not get to vote….. "It is this Magisterium's task to preserve God's people from deviations and defections and to guarantee them the objective possibility of professing the true faith without error.... To fulfill this service, Christ endowed the Church's shepherds with the charism of infallibility in matters of faith and morals." (Catechism, 890)
