Input devices: 

Keyboard: These are most commonly used input devices. These allow data entry into a computer system by pressing a set of keys neatly mounted on a keyboard, which is connected to the computer system. Scanner: These scanners look and work somewhat like a photocopier. One needs to simply lay an image or page of text face down on the flatbed scanner and then issue a command to scan the page. Light pen: Light pen is used to select a menu option displayed on the screen. It functions on the concept of a photo cell.
