Premium member Presentation Transcript Slide 1: DIVISION of Sultan Kudarat Slide 2: THE PILLARS Sultan Kudarat Division : Sultan Kudarat Division Initiatives to improve Performance Indicators World Food and School Feeding Program – 10 out of 11 municipalities of the province are recipients. Beneficiaries are Grades I to III pupils. Strict implementation of “No Collection Policy” Pledge of Commitment of 29 District Supervisors and 51 Secondary School Principals to improve Participation Rate and reduce Dropout Rate. Distribution of school supplies (bags & paper & pencils) to poor school children from the Provincial Governor & 2 Congressmen Launching of the “Project Smagul” (Distribution of Free Slippers to the pupils in different schools) mostly dominated by manobo pupils. Health profiling of Grades I-III pupils during UMDC SARDOs and children in need were visited by teachers thru a house to house visitation after they were identified thru family mapping. Health interventions like removal of impacted cerumen and vision screening were done by Division Health and Nutrition Unit Expanding implementation of CFSS Opening of Manobo Village Primary School ALS initiative programs and projects ON –GOING BARANGAY RADIO BASED INSTRUCTION FUNCTIONAL E-SKWELA CENTER LOCAL IMMERSION ADOPT-A-CHILD ADOPT-A-GRADE ADOPT-A-SCHOOL Slide 4: Division reading Programs Inclusion of 30-minute reading in the class program. All 303 elem. schools had submitted the Oral Pretest Result from Grades II to VI. Grade I to be conducted in October. Division Read-A-Thon was conducted on Sept. 9, 2009 participated by selected pupils of elem. schools in 10 districts Mentoring of classes on pronunciation undertaken by NEPP trained teachers Production of Reading Modules by Project KAHAR for the pupils of Bambad Central School personally funded by Mayor Diosdado Pallasigue amounting to P80,000.00. Launching of Project KAIBIGAN (Keeping Intimate Body In Gaining Adherents for Noble-Reading), a remedial reading intervention of Kalawag Central School to address the reading gap of pupils from grades 3 to 6. Slide 5: Math and Science Enrichment Programs Conducted Seminar-Workshop for Elem. Math Teachers in two batches; Aug. 20-22 & Aug. 27-28 – funded by the MOOE of the division Conducted the Training Workshop on Improvisation, Repair and maintenance and Proper Use of Science Equipment with content Integration with partnership wit the National Science Equipment Center (NSTIC). Distributed Digital Video Device (DVD) on Climate Change- “Panahon Na” to all secondary and elementary school principals of the Division of Sultan Kudarat. Conducted the Division Training Workshop for Sci-Dama for teacher-coaches, teachers and parents. Inclusion of enriched math and science in the class program of secondary. 08-09 09-10 08-09 09-10 08-09 09-10 Slide 6: Inventory of MLE Resource Materials SAVE THE CHILDREN – an NGO as partner of SK Division in MTBLE Activities: organized Language Advisory Committee last Sept. 10, 2009 in two identified schools to be piloted Sisiman E/S, Lutayan I-100% Maguindanaon pupils Titulok E/S, Bagumbayan I-75% Manobo pupils Conducted orientation meeting on MTBMLE implementation in two pilot schools participated by stakeholders. Slide 7: Sports Programs Purchase of sports equipment worth P 100,000.00 from the MOOE of the division and distributed to identified schools specializing in events where they performed well in past meets. Provincial Meet is set in November; (lower meets were scheduled in Sept. & Oct.) Slide 8: Library Hub Isulan Central School was identified as the Division Library Hub Center. A 3-classroom building will undergo face-lifting for the purpose. P 1M was pledged by the Isulan Municipal Government thru Mayor Pallasigue) as counterpart to the P 1M initial fund from Central Office-PFSED Slide 9: Pre School Activities Organized 12 classes (300 enrollees) in 6 schools handled by 6 regular teachers with permanent items Organized 143 classes (3959 enrollees) in 101 schools in 9 districts handled by preschool teachers whose honorarium is subsidized by DepEd. Organized 1 class (26 enrollees) in 1 school whose operation is LGU assisted. Twenty nine privates schools have ushered in 482 pre-schoolers Pre-school materials (handbook, big book, story book) & cassette recorders were distributed to 6 regular pre-school and DepEd subsidized Preschool Teachers Pre-school Manipulative Toys & Books were distributed to 90 subsidized pre-school teachers Slide 10: Multi-Grade Classes Eleven of the 29 districts have multi-grade classes handled by 72 MG teachers who had undergone trainings conducted last school year. Slide 11: Madrasah Activities Conducted workshop in reading & writing basic Arabic language on May 11-15, 2009 for 14 regular Madrasah Teachers Deployed 53 Asatidz to 26 elem. & 7 secondary schools implementing ALIVE curriculum on June 1, 2009 Deployed 8 new Madrasah Teachers to schools whose pupils are majority Muslims. Slide 12: Updates of SBM SBM assessment tools (primers & 3 manuals) will be reproduced pending receipt of funding from Central Office SBM Funds for FY 2007 is 100% liquidated by 47 elem. and 15 secondary schools. FY 2009 – 45 elementary and 22 secondary schools at P 50,000 each are recipients from GAA; while from SPHERE recipients are 37 elem. schools Slide 13: Updates of NCBTS NCBTS forms from DepEd Central Office will be reproduced to be used by the school heads charged to the MOOE of the Division Has started NCBTS Orientation activities for school heads and to be continued after Ramadan.
