Notice that there is a little section, highlighted in green at the top of the page, that discusses how this topic might appear on the exam. First look at a typical discussion/review.

This way we teach concepts and how to do problems in the same tutorial. As the visual slides progress showing the appropriate steps in the problem, the audio explains why the problem is being done that way and gives hints to better understanding and how to avoid common mistakes. The following screen shots are from a tutorial. Complete samples are available at the site. The MCAT PHYSICS TUTOR site contains over 70 audio-visual tutorials on key concept oriented problems.

Mot11 Linear Motion ( a and initial v ) A motorcycle with constant acceleration covers 90 m in 6.0 s. Its speed at the end of the 90 m interval is 20 m /s. What is the acceleration and initial velocity? Use the equation for average velocity. Now use the equation for acceleration. Some worked problems, such as this one, are simple concept oriented problems

Our teaching problems use a show/hide approach where you can check your progress through a problem before going on to the next step. This approach is much better than just asking you to do problems with given answers. As an illustration we use a problem in reflection and refraction. The statement of the problem and the prompts are the following
