Various programmes on offer Pinnacle 9.4 Ulead VideoMaker Adobe Premier Microsoft Movie Maker JCC Video Programme : JCC Video Programme Pinnacle 9.4 Many members already have it More sophisticated than MMM yet relatively simple to use Installed on JCC machine Good support from JCC Members System requirements meet most PCs Digital Vs Analogue : Digital Vs Analogue Analogue Video footage needs to be converted to a digital signal to enable computer editing. A separate box is needed to convert Dazzle Box or via a Capture Card This session will use Digital Video Setting up Capture : Setting up Capture Before you can capture Digital Video you need to have a Firewire Port on you PC and a Firewire cable. Model shown from Cable Universe at £8.00 complete Switch to Practical Demonstration : Switch to Practical Demonstration Capturing Video : Capturing Video Points to cover Show connections Select Capture on Pinnacle Click and check Settings Choose auto detect or set time for clips Leave rest of settings as default Use DV Full Quality Capture Capture Explain controls on Camera Start Capture and select length of capture (minutes) Do not attempt to capture more than 20 minutes! Standard, Alpha Magic and Hollywood FX Selected transition will play in right hand monitor Select appropriate Transition for you movie Double click (or drag and drop) to insert Adding Sound Effects : Adding Sound Effects Points to Cover Select entry point for sound and highlight Select “Sound Effect” tab on left Double click on chosen category Select from list (preview by clicking on file) note length in secs Click and drag file to timeline “Sound Track” Trim Length by sliding right hand of blue highlight area Adding Background Music : Adding Background Music Points to cover Purpose of this demo we will use “Smartsound only Select entry point and highlight On toolbar menu select “Toolbox” From dropdown list select “Generate Smartsound Music” Preview tab will play a small amount of your selection When ready click on “add to movie” Adjust length of music to your movie by dragging on blue arrow Removing Original tape background noise : Removing Original tape background noise Points to cover Why Perhaps disjointed due to editing clips Not really adding to the movie Traffic or wind noise. How On right hand side of main interface are padlocks on each track Click on each to highlight and activate all except Microphone Click on each timeline track and then on Bin to remove N.B remember to UNLOCK the tracks when completed Adding an Ending Title : Adding an Ending Title Points to Cover Same Process as opening title Best if ending is a full screen title Making Your Movie : Making Your Movie Points to Cover Click on “Make Movie” Tab Explain interface and choices Space on Disk and Size of file AVI, MPEG explain the difference If saving to file as AVI or MPEG select file name and destination from Pop-up window Burn straight to Disc (advise of potential problems with some players by using this method) Further Help : Further Help Last Thursday of each Month You do not have the permission to view this presentation.
