On the whole, while for animals in the case of rearrangement of the daily regime the physical inputs (light, temperature, and so on) are of primary importance, for man, as quite rightly emphasized by Kuznetsov, more significant are the psychic activity, the volitional drive to perform the daily schedule, and the ability to reorganize oneself quickly in accordance with the changing situation. We found that adaptation of the physiological functions to the new rhythm is particularly difficult in those individuals who constantly try to imagine what is taking place at every instant of the day outside the chamber.
