How to GATHER Greet people as they arrive Ask them where they would prefer to sit or show them a good seat Take them to their seats Help them with their kids if necessary Encourage them to feel at home Respond quickly if they need help for anything USHERING

How to GATHER Greet people as they arrive Show a pleasant smile while you open the door Be genuinely interested in the person Shake their hands firmly but not too tightly Greet them with kind but sincere words Wear something appropriate Give them something to read (brochure, tract, program sheet, magazine, etc.) USHERING

How to ASSIST Arrange the chairs properly Set up the equipment or the deco See to it that the facilities are clean & various amenities are available Identify your role in the program and prepare adequately Seek God’s anointing in your ministry Take time to evaluate and improve for next time

How to ASSIST Set up the equipment or the deco Check all equipment regularly (avoid last minute discoveries); request whatever is needed Make sure all connections are safe (avoid danger) Know the sermon series, theme or topic ahead of time and design the venue appropriately Appeal to all senses (sight, sound, smell, etc.). See to it that everything is beautiful. Be aware of the time factor and finish everything on schedule (before it’s too late)

How to ASSIST See to it that the facilities are clean & various amenities are available Check the Men’s and Ladies’ room before, during and after the event. Make sure there is enough soap, tissue paper, etc. Check the odor. Clean the Front Desk and lobby of all clutter Make sure the floors and walls are clean Throw out the contents of garbage cans before and after the event. Get rid of worn-out giving envelopes, bibles, etc.

How to ASSIST Identify your role in the program and prepare adequately Check the program schedule ahead of time Verify or clarify if you’re not sure Prepare before the event, not during the event Coordinate with others if necessary If you’re in front, make sure you memorize and internalize what you’re suppose to do Complement and be creative; don’t be boxed-in

How to ASSIST Seek God’s anointing in your ministry Pray fervently before the event, alone or together with others Be in an attitude of constant prayer during the event. Pay attention to the Holy Spirit. Give thanks to God after the event Be ready for the unexpected Follow the instructions of the Worship Leader/Pastor; be flexible

How to ASSIST Take time to evaluate and improve for next time Pay attention to what is happening during the event so that you can offer your feedback later on Don’t rush home after the event; gather with the rest of the team for evaluation Don’t just criticize; identify the reasons why something went wrong and make corrections Make a commitment to excellence In everything give thanks; stay positive
