R.K.MISHRA DGM,HR-HEAD-P&A (BHL,GOLA) Introduction : Introduction Bajaj Hindusthan Limited (BHL) was incorporated on 23rd November, 1931 under the name - The Hindusthan Sugar Mills Limited – on the initiative of Jamnalal Bajaj - a businessman, confidante, disciple and adopted son of Mahatma Gandhi. He sought Gandhiji's blessings in this new venture, which, apart from being a sound commercial proposition would also meet a national need. Till then, there were barely thirty sugar factories in the country. The site selected for the first plant was at Golagokarannath , district Lakhimpur Kheri in the Terai region of Uttar Pradesh (UP), an area rich in sugar cane. The original capacity of the factory was 400 tons of cane crushed per day ( tcd ). Horticulture Department : Horticulture Department Responsible for Development & maintenance of Lawn, Flowerbed Hedges, Ornamental Shrubs & Tree Plantation & Green belt development. Development & maintenance of Nursery. Selection of Plants Suitable for local environmental condition. P & A DEPARTMENT To ensure that the Contractors, working at our site, are complying with the applicable Labour Laws, and to discharge their legal liabilities towards Social Securities to avoid legal liabilities of Principal Employer. TIME OFFICE : TIME OFFICE Time Keeping of Officers is maintaining by Time Office. Employees are entitled for various leaves as per the Rules for which they have to apply on prescribed format. Leaves received by timekeeper duly sanctioned by the authorized Officer are than entered in to the form 14 for wage board employee & leave register for OWB staff. Employees attend their duty as per the shift schedule sent by the department duly signed by the HOD / Supervising officer to Time Office. WELFARE,I.R : WELFARE,I.R To maintain Industrial peace and harmony in the surrounding area and to avoid Industrial disputes provide welfare facility under factories Act and other welfare facility as per company policy Activities are organized for the recreation for the employees and their family members. INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS & LEGAL MATTERS : INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS & LEGAL MATTERS To maintain harmonious Industrial Relations between Management & recognized Union, following activities are carried out After receipt of Charter of Demand from the Union, arrangement of meeting, negotiations and settlement for long term wage. To resolve the grievances through periodical meetings between Management & recognized Union / employees, if required. SECURITY : SECURITY Ensure that all material brought into the factory premises and taken out from the factory premises should be authenticated as per the challan / bill/gate pass. Gate keepers are maintaining the record of material movement being brought into the factory premises and being taken out from the company premises. With the help of security gate keeper maintain list and control movement of tools and tackles etc belonging to and required by contractor. Gate keepers are required inward pass for entry of any vehicle which is to enter company premises either for loading or unloading of any materials. The gate keeper has to check the license of the vehicle driver. Inward gate pass is prepared by gate pass office Clerk. Any material is to be send out of company premises is recorded in outward register with full detail by gate keeper. Area is limited due to which large machine are installed at closes distance which poses a little bit danger to the premises There is no one to govern workers at every step which reduces their efficiency. As mentioned above due to limited area any accidents or miss happening may occur as machines are congested. The location dumps its waists in open fields due to which to land pollution takes place. This disturbs the vicinity and greenery foul smell spreads everywhere which disturbs local residents.
