MOVEMENT :MOVEMENT Muscles move bones by pulling on them, shortening and contracting.
The muscle that BENDS the joint is called the FLEXOR. The muscle that straightens the joint is called the EXTENSOR muscle.
MOVEMENTS :MOVEMENTS Flexion- movement that makes a joint angle smaller
Extension- movement that makes joint angle larger
