GreenBackStreet Tutorials: How to Set-up Your Local Listing

Welcome This tutorial will take you through the steps to set-up (or edit) your Local listing to ensure you get the most out of it!

Local Set-Up: 

Local Set-Up 1 – Complete the Application A representative should have helped you complete your application. If you purchased a Local listing without speaking with a representative, let us know and we’ll introduce you to one that can help you make sure your Local listing is a success. Important Note: Completing the application does not setup the Local listing. You must complete the setup process for your Local listing to appear in search engines and to GreenBackStreet Members.

Local Set-Up: 

Local Set-Up 2 – Complete the Set-up Process After completing the application, you will immediately be directed to the Setup Store Listing page. Complete as much as possible during the set-up process, but don’t worry if you make a mistake, you can come back to this page to change your information anytime.

Local Set-Up: 

Local Set-Up 2 – Complete the Set-up Process (cont) Enter the name of your business. Select your listing url. This will be www.greenbackstreet.com/yourselection. When advertising your Local listing on GreenBackStreet, this is what will be given to customers. Important Note: This is the only field that you cannot change later. Please make sure you carefully select your url.

Local Set-Up: 

Local Set-Up 2 – Complete the Set-up Process (cont) Upload your business logo. Please note the suggested size and file types. Enter your current website. If you do not have one, don’t worry, it’s not required.

Local Set-Up: 

Local Set-Up 2 – Complete the Set-up Process (cont) Select the categories that your business falls under. You can select more than one. Describe your business, what you do; the services and/or products that you offer. Add something here that is special or unique about what you offer.

Local Set-Up: 

Local Set-Up 2 – Complete the Set-up Process (cont) Enter as many keywords or tags as possible. We suggest using all of the available fields, but that’s not required. These words should be related to your business. Try to think of things that people might search for when looking for what you offer. If you can get started, but have trouble finding additional words, try using services like Google’s Keyword Tool https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Local Set-Up: 

Local Set-Up 2 – Complete the Set-up Process (cont) You can choose to display or not display a map to your location on your Local listing. If you have a physical store front, it’s always helpful to customers to have a map to your location.

Local Set-Up: 

Local Set-Up 2 – Complete the Set-up Process (cont) Complete all of the bolded fields for your primary location. Remember, your GreenBackStreet Local listing comes with the ability to add an unlimited number of locations. (We’ll cover that in another tutorial)

Local Set-Up 2 – Complete the Set-up Process (cont) When you’re done with everything, make sure you submit your listing.

Local Set-Up: 

Local Set-Up 3 – Confirm Your Store Set-up After you submit your listing information, you’ll see this message at the top of the listing: It’s also a good idea to go to the url that you select to make sure everything appears the way you want it to; www.greenbackstreet.com/yourselection. Important Note: After you enter the information, please allow five to ten minutes for your url to be setup on the site.

Add a coupon to increase you search engine rankings and build your customer base. Add additional locations. Send an announcement to all current GreenBackStreet members in your area to let them know about your new listing. View or download the list of people that have opted in to receiving updates from you. Update your billing information. Review and print marketing materials. Review your feedback and ratings from members.
