Please wear sunglasses for the next 48 hrs inside and outside, while awake. The eye shields should be worn while asleep for the next 4 days so you do not accidentally rub your eyes

Healing Symptoms :

Healing Symptoms Your vision will be blurry and fluctuate for the first few days and gradually improve over the next 4 weeks. THIS IS NORMAL. Complete visual recovery takes at least 3 – 6 months. Your eyes may sting and tear the first day. Lubrication and time will improve your comfort. Tylenol, Advil or other similar pain relievers may be taken if necessary.

Healing Symptoms :

Healing Symptoms Your eye may be red with spots of superficial blood which will disappear over 2 -4 weeks. Your lids may be slightly swollen initially.

Healing Symptoms :

Healing Symptoms Reading may be difficult initially. If you are over 40, temporary reading glasses may suffice until your vision has stabilized, then permanent prescription readers may be necessary. Normal healing involves some regression and this is accounted for in your initial treatment. If regression is significant, an enhancement may be performed 4 – 6 months after the initial LASIK procedure. Please remember that everyone heals differently. Your process will be monitored at regularly scheduled visits and your management will be decided accordingly.

Post Op Activities :

Post Op Activities You can wear makeup and return to your normal activities 1 week after your procedure. We ask that you refrain from swimming pool/lake/hot tub activities for 1 week. Avoid dusty, dirty environments for 1 week.

Standard Exam Schedule :

Standard Exam Schedule You will have a follow up appointment the day after your procedure and again after 3 – 5 days, to check for infection. You will be scheduled for a 1 month and 3 month follow up appointment to check for normal healing You should also schedule annual exams with your eye doctor, to check for visual stability and to evaluate general eye health.
