What is ? Open Source adj. [slang] Software whose license allows for the distribution of its source code to anyone, giving them the right to use, modify, or redistribute it; i.e. free.
Course Management System n. [abrv. CMS] Also known as a Learning Management System or Virtual Learning Environment. Used mostly in higher education to organize class activities, discussions, and resources.
Comparable to Blackboard, ANGEL, and WebCT.
