What is e- learning? :What is e- learning? e – Learning is a latest Educational Technology using Computer and other Electronic equipments

Slide 5:What learners normally do?

Methods of e- learning? :Methods of e- learning? CD based learning Web based learning using Internet Multimedia Classroom Virtual Classroom

e– Learning : A Multimedia Concept. :e– Learning : A Multimedia Concept. It makes use of ·    Text ·    Graphics (Images, pictures, figures, etc.) ·    Audio (voice, music, etc.) ·    Video ·    Animation, Simulation A proper mix of these multimedia components creates an effective Teaching / Learning tool.

Demonstrationof e-Learning Tools and equipments :Demonstrationof e-Learning Tools and equipments ·     LCD Projector ·     E- pen (Pen to PC) ·     Digital Visualiser It projects printed material objects and small experiments. ·      DVD Player. ·      Internet Access ·      Scanner

LCD projector :The LCD stands for ‘liquid crystal display’ projector. It is one of the most popular device through which things may be projected on the big screen or wall like this. Whole class can see the same comfortably. LCD projector

e-pen :Teachers make use of Black board and white chalk (and some times colour chalks) in the classroom. This is a cheapest and conventional method. If they wipe what they have written on the board cannot be reused. E-pen is the solution for this. Using e-pen one can write on a paper the same appears on the monitor or the screen of the LCD projector. One can select any colour and thickness of the pen. Colour of the page can also be changed. e-pen

e-pen :Working: e-pen looks like a ball pen but it has electronic circuit in it. The position of the tip of the pen transmits the signals; the sensor traces the path of the pen moved on the paper and computer produces mark on the computer screen with selected colour and thickness. e-pen

Digital Visualiser / Document Camera :Digital Visualiser / Document Camera

DVD Player :Today number of educational programmes on Digital Video Disks are available they have both movie with audio also. They can be played using the DVD player connected to the LCD projector and students can see the movie. We know about TV channels like Discovery, National Geographic, Animal Planet etc. broadcast interesting programmes on plants, DVD Player

Handycam :Working: The Handycam captures video. It can be recorded on a cassette or it can be directly projected on a TV or a LCD projector. Teachers can record the video of interested events connected to their studies and show the same to the students in the classroom Video can also be down loaded to computer and it can be edited and text may be superimposed on it to give explanation. Handycam

Scanner :Scanner is a digital device used to scan a picture or a text or an image on a paper and store it in the computer. Teachers can scan the picture and images from any source and use them in their presentations in the classroom or even class notes. Scanner

In virtual classroom Teacher and Students interact not face to face but through a VSAT network. The students sitting in different class rooms spread over the world listen to lectures of a teacher expert who is is delivering talk in a studio at some other place. There is a two way audio and video communication b/w students and teacher. | :Virtual Classroom In virtual classroom Teacher and Students interact not face to face but through a VSAT network. Slide 22:Internet is a powerful network spread all over the world. One can obtain any image, video, information etc by surfing through the web sites. By using search engines like Yahoo, Goggle, etc. one can search the web sites of our interest by giving the key words. Millions of websites may be listed and we have to find the good ones by navigating and use them. Every website has an address and the same can be copied and reused, instead of this we can put them in favorites folder as we store the phone number in mobiles. No need to remember them Internet
