Railroads Changed Montana:

Railroads Changed Montana Railroads allowed freight to be moved more easily. Railroads allowed people to travel with less time across the state Railroads increased the safety of travel.

Railroads and the Native Americans:

Railroads and the Native Americans Decreased the land of the Native Americans. Increased the settlers moving into the state. The Native Americans were left with smaller and smaller areas of land.

Transcontinental:

Transcontinental The Northern Pacific and The Great Northern Railroad The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific (the Milwaukee Road) all went across Montana in different areas.
