Trivia The building featured in the film, which was constructed on a sound stage in Vancouver, Canada, is based on the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, external shots of which were used in the movie. Visitors to the real American Museum of Natural History increased by 20% during the holiday season following this movie's opening. Trainers spent several weeks training Crystal, who plays the monkey Dexter, to slap and bite Ben Stiller in the film.

Memorable Quotes Bills Cobbsas (Reginal): -You must monitor that not between nobody but especially….. that does not go out anybody Ben Sttiler (Larry): I'm trusting you guys, and if you don't do what I say you'll end up like your buddies in the Mayan world over there, locked up. Do they look happy? Owen Wison (Jedediad): No. They look sad.

Review To die of laughter so it would be better not lose. It's a perfect proposal to see family. Not disappointed and, above all, is the infallible Ben Stiller that has producers and directors accustomed to success. The visual effects of A Night at the museum serve to attract attention: the dinosaur serving as a "good dog" The lion (in line with that of Narnia) and other animals, are a good hook for those who still surprised us with any other creature that originated in the cinema. Only the argument sells a story quite original and fun, and of course it is.
