Specific Learning Objective At the end of the session, the students shall have: identified, brainstormed, discussed, decided and conducted a Panel Discussion on a social issue that stirs up higher order thinking skills.

In a nutshell:: 

In a nutshell: The Panel Discussion is used as learning technique to develop and refine your persuasive speaking skills. It gives you the opportunity to persuade someone do and act according to global standards and universally accepted morals.

It becomes an effective and objective way of allowing students listen to varied views and different concepts presented by different speakers. In this way, the students may come to realise what best option is applicable to him/her, without us sounding too preachy at times!

“Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” Prior to the conduct of the Panel Discussion, each student is given a speaking exercise which ushers in the idea to use Persuasion and to work on three Public Speaking techniques namely: Pacing, Projection and Phrasing.

PPT, Panel Discussion Restrictions, Mechanics and Guidelines were presented. The Steps on How to conduct the activity were also discussed thoroughly.
