What is Garbage . . . . ? :

What is Garbage . . . . ? Wrapping material in form of Plastic bags & Tins. Broken Toys, Old clothes, Shoes or Slippers. Domestic waste material – pencil flakes, torn sheet of paper. It is unwanted or useless materials . Litter is waste which has been disposed of improperly, particularly waste which has been carelessly disposed of in plain sight , as opposed to waste which has been dumped to avoid paying for waste disposal fees.

Dealing with Garbage . . . Municipal garbage collectors collect the Garbage in trucks & take it to open area “Landfill”. Garbage sorting is done to separate the useful & non-useful garbage. Useful component of garbage are converted into “Compost”.

What is Compost . . . The rotting and conversion of useful garbage into manure is called “Composting”.

Vermicomposting . . . Method of preparing compost with the help of Redworms is called “Vermicomposting”. Redworms help in making manure from the Garbage. This method of making manure is called “ best out of the waste”.

For instance, this could mean melting down soft drink bottles then casting them as plastic chairs and tables.

Avoid use of Plastic:

Avoid use of Plastic Don’t put garbage in plastic bags and throw it away. Stray animals end up in swallowing these bags when they look for food in garbage. Plastic bags cannot be re-cycled. These bags when burnt release harmful gases which cause health problems.
