Cancer cases and nearly 0.8 million new cases occurring every year and 0.4 million deaths occurring every year Lung, stomach, liver, colon, cervical and breast cancer cause the most cancer deaths each year. Deaths from cancer worldwide are projected to continue rising, with an estimated12 million deaths in 2030. Crisis in India: Smoking Expected to Kill 1 Million People Annually by 2010 Tobacco use will kill 1 billion people in the 21st century if current smoking trends continue.
