Slide 5: Travel has always depended upon technology to provide the means or mode of travel. Slide 6: Earliest travellers walked or rode domesticated animals. Slide 7: The invention of the wheel and the sail provided new modes of transportation… Slide 8: Then came the Steamboats… Slide 9: The Railways… Slide 10: And the Motor Car… Slide 11: Each improvement in technology increased individuals' opportunities to travel.
