Qatar Petroleum offers scholarships to Qatari secondary school graduates who meet all of the criteria below: ‐ recently graduated secondary school students ‐ 80 % or higher overall secondary GPA for Qatar Independent schools 75% or higher overall secondary GPA for American, British and International Baccalaureate schools Secondary school results validated by Supreme Education Council ‐ have the required English level (IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 530 or equivalent ) Direct Scholarship Scholarships are offered for the duration of university study (maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.5) in either overseas or local universities . Qatar Petroleum currently uses the same universities as the Supreme Education Council with the majority of scholarships being offered to science stream graduates . The Academic Bridge program is a pre-university training opportunity that may be offered to Qatari secondary school graduates who have not met the entry requirements for Direct Scholarship but who QP feel have the potential to succeed at university with some preparation.

Ras Laffan Ras Laffan Qatar Petroleum Rasgas Qatargas ORYX GTL Shell GTL RLPC Dolphin Energy QChem Ras Laffan Industrial City – DL Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC), run and administered by Ras Laffan City (RLC), a directorate of Qatar Petroleum (QP), is a multipurpose, multidimensional industrial city. The QP directorate operates an industrial port and provides integrated services as well as several industrial facilities to existing industries and prospective investors. The facilities include modern infrastructure, common cooling seawater, waste management, fire stations, environmental laboratory and support services such as healthcare, security, emergency response, transportation, accommodation, and telecommunication. RLIC is situated along the north east coast of Qatar and is one of the fastest growing industrial cities in the world. It is located about 80 kilometres from Qatar’s North Field, which is the world’s largest single non associated gas field with approximately 900 trillion cubic feet of proven reserves. RLIC spans 248 square kilometres , which includes the southern reserve zone - reserved for possible future projects. Mesaieed Major Industries in Mesaieed : Mesaieed Industrial City Management, a Directorate of Qatar Petroleum, was established in 1996 as a single point authority to provide "one stop" services to all businesses in Mesaieed , to develop a strategic plan for the allocation of land, to provide common port, marine and infrastructure facilities and to at¬tract light, medium, and support industries to compliment   the larger businesses. Dukhan The Dukhan oil field extends over an area of approximately 80 km x 8 km and is located about 80 kms to the west of Doha Exploration for oil in Dukhan field began in 1935 and the first well found oil in 1940. Currently, oil and gas are being produced at Dukhan field from three main reservoirs Dukhan field has been in production since 1947.
