Leading as Filling a Role Moving into leadership means taking on a new set of responsibilities This includes developing the ability to manage ethical dilemmas Required to wrestle questions of power, privilege, deceit, consistency, loyalty and accountability

Choice How leaders respond to ethical challenges will determine if they cast light or shadow Leaders must acknowledge the “dark side” of leadership Leaders must choose to pursue good rather than evil Leaders must resist pressures that subvert ethical behavior
