Meet Tukwila Dentist Dr. Samuel S Minagawa, DDS PS Dr. Minagawa moved to Washington State with his family in 1992. He served as a Dental Director for a state facility for developmentally disabled patients. While working for the state, he received an affiliate faculty appointment at the University of Washington, School of Dentistry. Dr. Minagawa attended Pacific Union College in Napa Valley, California and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. He later earned an Associate in Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy from Loma Linda University School of Allied Health. He worked as a Registered Respiratory therapist (RRT) and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) at Loma Linda University Medical Center in the Pulmonary Intensive Care Unit, Critical Care Unit, LLUMC Transport Team and primarily in the Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units. One month prior to starting dental school, he was invited to travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with the Loma Linda University Overseas Heart Surgery Team, where he provided life-support for neonatal and pediatric post heart surgery patients.

Meet Tukwila Dentist Dr. Samuel S Minagawa, DDS PS In 1985, during his dental training, Dr. Minagawa participated in a volunteer humanitarian trip to Chiapas, Mexico to care for Indians in the Yucatan Peninsula jungles performing oral surgery and restorative dentistry. He graduated from Loma Linda School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1987. He was awarded the 1987 Senior Dental Student Achievement Award from the Southern California Japanese-American Dental Society.
