Our research aim is to explore the reason for this paradox and design and evaluate educational interventions. Virtual Journal Entry : Virtual Journal Entry Prepare yourself to be honest and open about your biases, hopes and fears and discuss details of your family culture with relation to health and illness and your own experiences of health care personally or professionally. Working with emotional data : Working with emotional data Case Study 2 Case study 2: Working with emotional data : Case study 2: Working with emotional data We are doing a qualitative study about mothers with disabilities acquired from trauma such as motor vehicle accidents, physical abuse, drug abuse ,and as a result of violence such as gunshots. Our aim is to explore the effect the disability has on the women’s quality of life. During data collection it was discovered that the families included in the study lived in poverty with children who were underfed or uncared for. Some children were allowed extraordinary freedoms and given responsibilities of caring for younger children in the household as well as cooking and cleaning. Some women reported being in abusive relationships. Reflection: Key Theoretical Definitions : Reflection: Key Theoretical Definitions What are your feelings about disability ? Discuss or describe your feelings about the women in this study. Did you have any emotional reaction to the data? If so describe the reaction. The act of coding is connected to the act of judging.
