The Beginning of the Wise Family Reunion The Wise Family reunion was first celebrated in 1933, at the home of Willie and Maude Wise, in the Spring Hill Community of Newton County, Georgia. The date that was chosen was the 4th Saturday in August. Those in attendance at the first reunion were: Willie’s siblings who lived in Atlanta. His sons and daughters and their families of Chattanooga, TN His sons and daughters and their families who lived in Spring Hill Community of Newton County.
