Slide 2:
The first thing that you need to do is to identify why it is that you are having pain as a result of the work that you are doing. Perhaps it is a repetitive stress injury, such as an injury to the rotator cuff or carpel tunnel syndrome. If this is the case, you may need to change the way that you are doing the work that you are doing in order to relieve the stress that is being put on that area of the body. For example, if you are currently employed and it is required that you lift heavy things over your head regularly, you may need to switch the way that you are lifting in order to alleviate the pressure on your shoulder.
Another thing that you can do is to make sure that you are lifting and pulling properly if you do these on a regular basis. Most of us tend to get in a hurry whenever we are working, and it certainly does help to be able to get our work done on time. You need to make sure that you are not sacrificing proper technique as a result of being in a hurry, however. For example, never lift and twist at the same time and whenever you are lifting, make sure that you are lifting with your legs and not with your back. By using the proper form whenever you are doing these motions, you will have a much better opportunity of dealing with the pain successfully and being able to continue to work.
