Taking care of your body so you stay healthy! Virus and bacteria make you SICK when they enter your body so KEEP THEM OUT! We will teach you simple ways to have good personal hygiene! Slide 3: Hair Face Skin Teeth Ears Hands Nails Feet Always wash your: How to keep clean! : How to keep clean! Take a bath every day. When you have a bath wash your whole body. This means skin, ears, nails, feet and hair when necessary. You should also wash your face every morning and evening Clean your teeth : Clean your teeth You must clean your teeth to stop bacteria growing on them Clean your teeth twice a day Make sure you clean every side of each tooth Clean your teeth for 2 minutes Buy a new toothbrush every 3 months Always use toothpaste. If it runs out ask mum and dad to buy more Visit the dentist once a year for a check up Wash your hands : Wash your hands Washing your hands is really important. Bacteria can spread really easily if you don’t clean your hands regularly Wash your hands … after going to the bathroom before eating after playing outside Don’t touch your mouth if your hands are dirty as bacteria will enter your body ALWAYS use soap to wash your hands Have good personal hygiene by: : Have good personal hygiene by: Coughing and Sneezing : Coughing and Sneezing When you cough or sneeze small bacteria goes into the air around. This bacteria can make others ill too Sneeze and cough into a tissue or your elbow Throw away the tissue This will stop the bacteria from spreading Animals : Animals Always clean your hands straight after touching or playing with animals, even your pet Animals carry diseases Never eat if you have touched an animal and not cleaned your hands Cooking : Cooking Always clean your hands before cooking and preparing a meal Your hands have bacteria on them and this will go into the food if you do not clean them You and others might get ill from eating this bacteria Remember: we want to keep bacteria OUT of our bodies QUESTIONS? : QUESTIONS?
