Premium member Presentation Transcript How to explain how to create a design : How to explain how to create a design Example for your “progression” By Gabriela Artigas First, select a design to use as a model : First, select a design to use as a model For example, I’ve selected this image from www.dupsies.com that depicts lace from Switzerland. This lace can be recreated using simple shapes: : This lace can be recreated using simple shapes: Octagon Cross, square, circle Drawing an octagon… : Drawing an octagon… Contrasting color to see the changes in the design The fill is 50% transparent to see the progression of my design. Changed the color : Changed the color and placed it on top of the original photo to make sure I’m on the right track. Also, I used the “Align” command to center shapes to one another. I added a square : I added a square Changed its color Placed it on top of the cross Used the alignment commands, making sure the cross and square overlap in the center. Another little square was added : Another little square was added And aligned to the previous square.
