First, select a design to use as a model : 

First, select a design to use as a model For example, I’ve selected this image from www.dupsies.com that depicts lace from Switzerland.

This lace can be recreated using simple shapes: :

Drawing an octagon… : 

Drawing an octagon… Contrasting color to see the changes in the design The fill is 50% transparent to see the progression of my design.

Changed the color : 

Changed the color and placed it on top of the original photo to make sure I’m on the right track. Also, I used the “Align” command to center shapes to one another.

I added a square : 

I added a square Changed its color Placed it on top of the cross Used the alignment commands, making sure the cross and square overlap in the center.

Another little square was added : 

Another little square was added And aligned to the previous square. Then, the little circles were added…

At this point, a “tile” is complete! : 

At this point, a “tile” is complete! its colors can be adjusted as desired… Then, the tile is copied and pasted in a new blank slide…

I enlarged the tile, so I can transfer it to my slide master :

I placed my design on the Title Slide Master :

I went back to Normal View, duplicated the image 3 times :

Grouped and enlarged (pressing <SHIFT> to maintain proportions) :

Ungrouped to place images perfectly… :

Rotated it and place it in an eye catching way… :

Copied it and pasted it in the Slide Master (title and text) :

Made my final changes: : 

Made my final changes: Changed the background Style (to #4) Changed the Color Theme My whole presentation received the changes to the Slide Master, as well as Color Changes…

Returned to Normal View and checked the design on all my slides… :
