PowerPoint Presentation:

The Aborigines once roamed, As free as the birds above them, In sync with the bush amongst them. Their presence melting into the land, Into land they once owned.

PowerPoint Presentation:

One day, where the dark sea meets the endless sky, Through the venturing clouds appeared a speck, A foreign , mysterious, unknown speck. The closer one got, more appeared . “What’s happening?”, the aborigines thought, “and why?”

PowerPoint Presentation:

When the first speck got closer to shore, i t grew into a monstrous floating giant, Behind it was a whole fleet of these giants. Once the first one reached land, strange creatures began to surface. Along with their alien voices, white skin they wore.

PowerPoint Presentation:

Once the whites settled, they began to change the land. Using tools and machines unheard of by the Aborigines. Tools and machines that brought fear and doubt to the Aborigines. They worked through the landscape like rats in a maze, This the Aborigines could not stand.

PowerPoint Presentation:

From friends they turned foe , f reedom and rights were replaced with laws, Barbaric , inhumane , wrong laws. Peace and equality , a distant memory, Of feelings the Aborigines used to know.

PowerPoint Presentation:

They had their differences, that's for sure. When in battle the Aborigines were slaughtered like fish in a barrel. Innocent, out armed , outnumbered fish. Sadly the white mans conscience was shadowed, Causing his craving for wealth and dominance to have no cure.

PowerPoint Presentation:

The whites tried to make a halt in tradition. In their boats were not only disease but a few other things, Alcohol , guns and Christianity , all western things. The smart Aborigines stayed away but the white were persistent. Converting Aborigines to their culture was the new ambition.

PowerPoint Presentation:

The whites started a new evil , they took children, leaving no trace. If a lighter skinned child was found, it was taken, Straight out a mothers womb, stolen , snatched, taken. Left in orphanages, alone and unloved, hidden from their culture. The white man left a gaping hole in the Aboriginal race.

PowerPoint Presentation:

Throughout the years, the white man’s disregard, His fear of the different and unknown was sad, h is neglect to learn from others and live in harmony was very sad. But there were a good few, just not enough. Leaving the first chapters in Australian history scarred.
