LITTLE PAWN SHOP:

LITTLE PAWN SHOP By: Linda J. Hutchinson

This morning as I folded my hands to pray;:

This morning as I folded my hands to pray; I asked the dear Lord to help me have a better day.

Not long ago death silently came and took my beloved partner away;:

Not long ago death silently came and took my beloved partner away; now alone, I need to find money to pay my debts someway.

Later I took a walk to ease my heart and to help clear my mind;:

Later I took a walk to ease my heart and to help clear my mind; as I slowly turned a corner, a little Pawn Shop I did find.

As I approached the shop something sadly caught my eye;:

Quickly here for my rings I could get money to help me get by; :

Quickly here for my rings I could get money to help me get by; but Lord I can't part from my wedding rings, or I too would die.

Little Pawn Shop, how many hearts have you broken in your time? :

Little Pawn Shop, how many hearts have you broken in your time? I do need money, but this I do vow, Little Pawn Shop you will never get mine.
