Hutchinson Today I looked at an old photograph of my grandparents; he died long before I was born, with her I shared eight years. : Today I looked at an old photograph of my grandparents; he died long before I was born, with her I shared eight years. Slide 3: I sat beside her rocker on the floor as she cut out and sewed quilt squares, together we talked, laughed and shared tears. Slide 4: I do not know the age of my dads' parents in the photo, nor where it was taken, but I loved those people and wish they could had lived longer in my life. Slide 5: They lived on over-worked farms, in run down houses, no power or plumbing; together they shared happiness, and much strife. They married in Tennessee and had seven children, three of them died very young, grandmother grieved for many years. : They married in Tennessee and had seven children, three of them died very young, grandmother grieved for many years. Slide 12: Each time I look at the picture, I want to reach into it and hug them, especially my grand mother, we are much alike, I am told.
