Now, imagine, if you will, the excitement of 389 kids, in a less than upscale urban area, who know little about the fascination & wonder of computer technology who come to understand that the project that the American visitors are here to deliver will enable them to talk to the world. And, further, imagine the impact this will have upon their future learning & success in life. These children were so excited they would break into cheers, clap & sing whenever they saw the Lexington Park Team. The entire school was recessed for the time of our visit. It was as though it was Christmas & the Lexington Park Team were Santa Claus. They called the team, "Mr & Mrs Rotary Who Brought the Computers." The students literally wouldn’t let the team members leave the school building! Only by giving a “full-fledged Turkish personal greeting” to “each” student was the team able to leave the school!
