Presentation Description

Incorporating a pond design in your garden can be a large project. Apart from the work involved in adding a pond design, there will be regular maintenance and conservation issues. When it comes to a pond design for your garden or backyard, you need to consider how much work you plan on putting into the pond once the project is complete. A larger pond design will mean more work, even if you set up an ecosystem that can to some extent manage itself. Plan at the very least for dealing with algae growth. In this article, we will learn how to design a pond.

Gerald Summerlin's Bio: Hello folks, my name is Gerald Summerlin and I'd like to thank you for stopping by my site, Pond Plants. I've always loved backyard landscaping and especially water attractions -- which is just a fancy name for ponds. But the some of the most overlooked ingredients to a perfect pond are the plants! I've developed this site to provide you with ideas and tips to help you plan for and build your perfect backyard pond.

A pond design can be simple water features including or excluding aquatic plants or pond plants. You can also have a pond design with fish in mind. If you want fish, such as koi fishes or goldfishes, the size of the pond will depend on the size of the fishes you choose. Goldfish can survive in a smaller pond design as compared to koi, for instance. With goldfish, a pond design with a depth of 2 feet should be sufficient, whereas koi fish requires a pond with a depth of no less than 3 or 4 feet.
