Appropriate DTC Casesexamples Appropriate MISDEMEANOR charges: Criminal Trespass Theft Cases Disorderly Conduct Obstruction Simple Assault & Assault VGCSA Simple Battery & Battery Prostitution Driving Offenses other than DUI Public Intoxication/Drunk Loitering, Prowling Public Indecency Appropriate FELONY charges: Terroristic threats Entering auto Theft cases Interference with government Burglary property Obstruction

Mental Health Diagnosis: : 

Mental Health Diagnosis: Suspicion of mental illness or formal diagnosis. The DTC will evaluate for mental illness. In the absence of any mental health diagnosis, DTC will return the case to sending court. An order will be filed in clerk’s file that defendant does not qualify for DTC. Mental Health diagnoses : Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder (Spectrum), Bipolar, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety disorder, ADHD, etc. Additional active and open cases in DeKalb placed on on similar DTC consent hold or defendant is informed of any upcoming court dates.
