Interventional Radiology atHCA Hospitals :

Interventional Radiology atHCA Hospitals Lee Friedman, MD

Our Goal :

Our Goal To be able to provide a multi-disciplinary approach in the treatment of our patients in order to provide them with the best possible outcomes We work with the surgeons to provide a combined team approach We want to involve the primary physician in treatment of their patients by open and constant communication so that there is a better understanding of post intervention treatment.

What can we do in the vascular world? :

What can we do in the vascular world? In short, just about any interventional procedure you can think of including: Angiography with Stenting or Angioplasty Thrombolysis and Thrombectomy Catheter-directed Embolization Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Endograft Repair Uterine Artery Embolization Dialysis Interventions for AV Grafts and Fistulas IVC filters Tunnel catheter, PICC, Port a Cath, Central line placements Chemoembolization T.I.P.s Varicocele Embolization

Peripheral Vascular Disease :

Peripheral Vascular Disease Patients presenting with claudication can be treated with endovascular stenting or angioplasty If severe disease, often times a combined endovascular and surgical approach can offer the patients the best possible outcomes Our team has placed iliac stents to improve inflow for surgeons to perform fem-pop or fem-fem bypass

Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy :

Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy Patient's with acute DVT or with acute cold extremities can be treated with catheter directed thrombolysis We use a combination of techniques mechanical thrombectomy catheter infusion of Tpa for thrombolysis stenting or angioplasty to treat any underlying cause
