Our Moa Adventures. We decided to write our own adventure stories using our stuffed Moa and ourselves as characters. We made sure our stories had a beginning, an exciting middle and, an end. Here are the stories written by 3 of our budding, young ,fiction writers . Shima Joel Noa Danyon

Slide 3: 

..... Man with a black coat and blue in the middle. “Aaaaaaaaah!” screamed the moa. “Ha, ha, ha” laughed the man and he waved his wand and turned the moa into a wicked moa. As soon as a flash, the moa chased me through her forest. Page 2

Slide 4: 

“Aaaaaaaarh!” she squawked with power as she lifted me up with her foot. Down came her head, down, down, down. She used her beak and swung me back and forth but she still got me in her foot and she was pecking me. “Help! Help!” I shouted. Page 3

Slide 5: 

“Ahaaaaarh!!!” squawked the moa. “It can talk!” shouted the moa. Just then Strongo said “Oh no!” and he grabbed the wand and snapped it. “Get out” said the man and he got on his knees. “Aaaah!” screamed the man and all his magic was gone. ... I was really shocked!!! I shouted “Help!!!” and it spat me out. I landed on the grass. I quickly ran away without it seeing me, then it was chasing me! I ran faster lightning. Page 2

I ran into a cave. The moa ran passed the cave and then my dad turned it into a frog and it hopped away to the pond. That was the end of that. Author. Joel Page 3

... Then it tried to get me again. He was going so fast he did not notice that I had ducked down so he kept on running and I did the biggest jump ever I could do. It was my favourite moment because I alwas wanted to ride a moa. Page 2

Slide 11: 

There was a baby moa too. The baby moa looked ugly because it did not have feathers. I played a chasing game, then I went through a tunnel underground. I was crawling through the tunnel because I did not want the bats to crash into me. Page 3

I saw a tarantula. I said “Ahaaaaa!!!” and I came out the other side. The moa was still there. It looked in the water then it screamed in terror when it saw it’s own reflection ......... And then I sneaked away. Author. Noa Page 4

... not on the ground. I was worried because it might eat me and I smelled the moas’ breath, it was disgusting! I tried to tickle it but it did not work. I kicked its neck. I fell right to the ground. The moa sneezed, it screamed and all the other moas came to help. I thought “ This is too hard for me!!!” Page 2

Slide 15: 

I got an idea so I said to myself “ I could hide under the log”. They didn’t even see me. I suddenly came out of the log and used a stick to chase them away ... But ... The moa that got hurt still chased me so I quickly climbed up a tree. Page 3

It jumped ! I climbed higher and higher until it could not reach me. It tried to climb the same tree but it could not climb so it never came to get me again ...so... I went back home. Author. Danyon Page 4
